As Director of the Mummy Project—and even before this experience—I have conceived and carried out projects that allowed collaboration with museums, cultural institutions, and research centres, often relying on the valuable support of private sponsors. Each initiative has not only been a professional challenge but also an opportunity to grow, share knowledge, and turn ideas into reality. Along this journey, I have had the chance to combine scientific and academic activity with managerial and outreach skills.
Over the past 25 years, I have had the pleasure and honour of coordinating dozens of collaborators, leading numerous projects that have consistently met – and often exceeded – their goals. I have managed budgets and facilitated fundraising efforts, ensuring co-financing and long-term sustainability for each initiative.
My diverse professional experience has allowed me to work side by side with specialists from many disciplines – archaeologists, conservators, chemists, physicists, physicians, anthropologists, entomologists, and many others — and to build constructive relationships with Superintendencies, museum directors, foundations, and institutions. I am also accustomed to collaborating with social media managers, communication experts, filmmakers, and documentarians in contexts requiring an interdisciplinary vision and adaptability.
